Our Mission

The mission of the Trinity Church website is to:

(1) Glorify God;

(2) Encourage people from all walks of life to worship, fellowship, heal, serve, and grow with us in our faith relationship with Jesus Christ; and

(3) Serve as a resource for friends and members of Trinity Church to share ideas, concerns, and resources.

Salkehatchie

     Each summer, more than 50 youth and adults of Trinity Church volunteer one week at selected sites (work camps) in North Carolina and South Carolina to help upgrade houses that are in desperate need of repair and to minister to the specific needs of families that occupy the dwellings.  Not only do they bless God by participating in the ministry - they use vacation time and pay money to do it!

     Former Trinity pastor, John Culp, founded the Salkehatchie ministry and continues to direct specific camps.  Another former Trinity pastor, Harry Workman, directs the camp in McCormick county.

     A large group of friends and members of Trinity who participate in the Salkehatchie program work and minister at the Baker Creek camp in McCormick county.  Donnie Bates (dontambates@aol.com), is the Trinity Church point of contact.

     To make a financial donation, please make check payable to Trinity Church and write SALKEHATCHIE on the memo line.  To donate to a specific camp, do the same except add the name of the camp after Salkehatchie.

Make no mistake - participation in the Salkehatchie ministry
is hard work and an extreme blessing.
