Our Mission The mission of the Trinity Church website is to: (1) Glorify God; (2) Encourage people from all walks of life to worship, fellowship, heal, serve, and grow with us in our faith relationship with Jesus Christ; and (3) Serve as a resource for friends and members of Trinity Church to share ideas, concerns, and resources. |
Youth MinistryLeadershipTrinity Church is blessed with a growing Youth ministry that is directed by Reverend Donnie Bates, a local business man with a long history of working with teens in our local church, community sports programs, and youth who are in prison. Donnie has extensive training and more than 20 years of experience, and a conviction to help young people grow in a faith relationship with Jesus Christ. Trinity Church is also blessed with more than 20 adults who assist Donnie by teaching classes, leading small groups, counseling youth, chaperoning events, preparing meals, and more. We are also blessed by many prayer warriors who fervently pray for our youth by name and for specific needs. PhilosophyOur youth do not represent the future of Trinity Church - they are an integral part of today's church by leading and participating in worship, Sunday school, weekly fellowship events, community ministry (community projects, Salkehatchie, special projects for people with specific needs, etc.), weekly Bible study, Vacation Bible School, and more. Youth are Evangelists!A number of previously "unchurched" families now worship and minister at Trinity because of our teens and youth ministry. A common story for these families is that one of our teens cared enough to invite an unchurched friend to a fellowship event ... the friend took part in worship or other activities ... parents and siblings came to see their child/sibling ... and the family decided that worship and church were not such bad places after all!
